Andy Montañez is one of the most important and well-collected Salsa artists to emerge out of Puerto Rico. He was born in Trastalleres, a suburb in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and has been performing for over 50 years.
In the early 60's, Andy, commonly known as, “The Godfather of Salsa” started to gain international renowned attention with his acclaimed band, "El Combo de Puerto Rico".
