Meet Michael Stuart, he will be joining us this October 27, 2018.

Salsa singer Michael Stuart was born January 5, 1975, in NYC of Puerto Rican parents who emigrated to the city in the '60s. His style is highly influenced by both New York and Puerto Rican music, where he spent significant amounts of time throughout his childhood. From a very young age, he was influenced by his uncle, and bandleader Israel "Timbalero" Stuart, and his father's love for music. Stuart’s musical knowledge grew from home while practicing with his mentors, becoming well versed with the percussion instruments and melodies that support contemporary salsa music.

From a young age, he was interested in the R&B style from NYC streets. He grew fond of artists such as Ismael Rivera, Héctor Lavoe, and Andy Montañez. He landed a gig singing coro for the well-established Puerto Rican bandleader Wichy Camacho at the age of twenty.

Career highlights include the 2005 Latin Grammy nomination of his fifth disc ‘Sin Miedo’ for Best Tropical-Contemporary Album and nominations for Billboard Music Awards in both 2006 and 2007. After a long and fruitful relationship with RMM, Stuart initiated a relationship with Universal's Machete Music with his 2006 release Back to Da Barrio, followed in 2007 with Sentimiento de un Rumbero.

Michael Stuart will be joining us on the next PRC Festival on Saturday 27, 2018.

Peter Nieto | PRC Festival 2018

Meet Peter Nieto, he will be joining us this October 27, 2018.

Pedro Nieto Mora is a Cuban singer, known in the artistic world as Peter Nieto since 2017, after being one of the front figures of the Charanga Habanera.

Born in Havana, Cuba on August 23, 1989, Peter Nieto began his approach to music at the Casa de Cultura Olga Alonso in his municipality, where he was part of the Estrellitas del 2000 and Alloy Tropical children's groups.

Peter won the second prize of Interpretation and Improvisation at the 15th Cubadisco International Festival 2011, in the Santiago de Cuba edition, thanks to which he joined the orchestra of Adalberto Álvarez and his Son. Due to his musical performance, he managed to reach Charanga Habanera, which allowed him to perform in stages in the United States, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Spain, Japan, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, among others.

The Cuban musician is now committed to a new album and offers a promising show at the next PRC Festival on October 27, 2018!

Plenealo | PRC FEST 2018

Meet Plenéalo, they will be joining us this October 27, 2018.

In September 1994, the group Plenéalo was founded in the town of Aibonito, Puerto Rico, birth town of its founder and musician Iván Gerardo Rivera Rivera, who devised the project that would give life to 'La Plena' genre, with the desire to revive, maintain and promote our culture through the rhythm of 'plena'.


Over the course of the years, Plenéalo has been touring on several festivities such as Bahía Festival, Cepeda Festival, and Bacardi Fair to mention a few.


For more than 20 years, the group has worked to achieve its musical development and be recognized for Puerto Rico. Their goal is to teach 'La Plena' as that happy and contagious genre, representative of the Boricua country.

Plenéalo continues his career to enter international markets, modernizing 'la plena' in each musical incursion.


Plenéalo shows are running across the U.S. and Latin America and they will be performing this Saturday, October 27th at the upcoming PRC Festival 2018.

Meet CHACAL, he will be joining us this October 27, 2018.

Ramon Lavado Martínez, known professionally as Chacal, is a Cuban urban music singer. At an early age, he began to get involved in Cuban Hip Hop and was strongly influenced by the music he learned there.

His breakthrough came in 2016, with his single "Ay Mi Dios", featuring American and Latin singers, Pitbull, Yandel, and IAmChino. Their song peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart, with over 500 million YouTube views, and more than 273 million views on Spotify.

Chacal’s most recent tour was ‘Calentando Europa’ which took place in Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Germany. He has also toured throughout the United States.

The 2018 “No Volveré” singer, Chacal will be joining us this Saturday, October 27th at the upcoming PRC Festival 2018.

Meet El Dandy, he will be joining us this October 27, 2018.

David Montes de Oca Guerra, professionally know as El Dandy was born in Habana, Cuba, in October 9, 1986. At a young age he was strongly influenced by dancers and singers in his family, and as a result gained interest in music and dancing.

By 2003, he joined the National School of Scenic Arts ‘E.N.A.E.’ and two years after he joined the musical band ‘Arnaldo y Su Talismán’ as dancer, giving him the chance to travel around Cuba. Shortly after, David Montes joined the dancing group ‘Ron de Cuba Habana Club’, directed then by the actress, Edith Massola.

El Dandy was called to be part of Haila Maria Mompie orchestra as dancer and chorus man, until 2013, where he accomplished his lifelong dream of joining David Calzado’s orchestra, ‘Charanga Habanera’, reaching international renown.

After 4 years of playing at ‘La Charanga Habanera’, El Dandy decides to pursue a solo career.

Don’t miss El Dandy’s performance next Saturday, October 27 at Houston’s PRC Festival 2018.

Andy Montanez | PRC Festival 2018

Andy Montanez El Godfather de La Salsa will be performing at PRC Festival 2018

Andy Montañez is one of the most important and well-collected Salsa artists to emerge out of Puerto Rico.  He was born in Trastalleres, a suburb in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and has been performing for over 50 years.

In the early 60's, Andy, commonly known as, “The Godfather of Salsa” started to gain international renowned attention with his acclaimed band, "El Combo de Puerto Rico".

‘Un Verano en Nueva York’, ‘Vagabundo’, ‘El Barbero Loco’, ‘Las Hojas Blancas’, are among the group’s most famous songs.

In 1997 Andy took over the popular band ‘Dimensión Latina’, shortly after the former lead singer Oscar D’Leon retired. The Godfather stayed there for a little over a year.

Andy took center stage in the band,  ‘Puerto Rico All-Stars’ playing iconic songs such as, ‘Payaso’, ‘Casi Te Envidio’, ‘Ella’ and ‘Genio y Figura’. In 2006, Andy Montañez took the price for Best Traditional Tropical Album together with Pablo Milanés at the Latin Grammy’s.

He’s still performing across the U.S. and Latin America and will be performing this Saturday, October 27th at the upcoming PRC Festival 2018.
