Embarking upon an adventurous desire to combine traditional Latin flavor with modern rhythms, Rudy Rincon and the members of Grupo Ka-Che have taken their dream to greater heights, by embracing their heritage and sharing the spirit of a sound that has been passed from generation to generation.
Founded in November ’96, this group has not only captured the heart and soul of Latin music within the Houston area, but they have begun to spread their magic nationwide.
They have had the esteemed pleasure of being selected the accompany band of the romantic salsero Eddy Santiago on his Southwest tour for the last 5 years, performing from 5 to7 different cities on each tour. Had the occasion of being the opening acts for local concerts such as Marc Anthony at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, famous merenguero Elvis Crespo, Lefty Perez, Carlos Olivia y los Sobrinos del Juez, and the sensational Colombian Salsa band; Grupo Niche.
Grupo Ka-Che released their first album entitled, “TUYO” in 2001. TUYO is a compilation of salsa, merengue, and Latin Pop that is unquestionably a favorite among latinos and latin music lovers worldwide.
Rudy Rincon, also had the pleasure of participating recording two songs for the collaboration album “The Power of Friends” by Avizo, another very well know Tejano Band in Houston, along with talented recording artists like Little Joe, Jay Perez and Agustin Ramirez. This album achieved Grammy Nomination in 2005, given to Rudy Rincon the opportunity to receive his first Grammy recognition.
Right now Rudy Rincon and Grupo Ka-Che are in the process of finishing their new album, counting with the blessing and participation of musicians and producers from Venezuela, Colombia and Puerto Rico, and of course; bringing back again the Old School SABOR of SALSA BRAVA with the quality and the elements of today’s new musical trends.
